Survey Works:

Poverty and Social Assessment Household Survey in the Rural and Urban areas of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Sunsari, Dang, Myagdi, Achham, Solukhumbu and Ilam Districts with financial support from the Asian Development Bank, TA-4833:NEP Project. The survey was conducted by using the required sample size to achieve 95 per cent level of confidence with a confidence interval of 10 per cent.
Economic Analysis Household Survey for Rural and Urban Area Citizens of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Sunsari, Dang, Myagdi, Achham, Solukhumbu and Ilam Districts with financial support from the Asian Development Bank, TA-4833: NEP Project. Trainings:

Basic computer training comprised theory and practice of hardware, including introduction to hardware, computer assembling, installation, formatting, scanning, computer configuration, web page design, networking in general, and LAN-WAN networking. The training also included theory and practice of some of the simple software like Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, GW Basics, and software installation. In addition, the training included management and office procedures like office behaviour, reading habit, leadership development, regulations and acts, customer care, accounts, skill development, etc.
Training on telecentre operation included basic computer training, telecentre management, simple accounting procedures and the like.
Training on database and network included theory and practice of Microsoft Access, simple networks, ISP connectivity and so on.

Software Development:

Accounting System for Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, including voucher transactions along with voucher listing, new entry, editing, deleting, posting and printing. The system also included voucher authentication at preparation, checking, approving, canceling and posting level.

Rural Telecentre in Remote Districts of Nepal

Establishment of Telecenters:

A rural telecentre has already been established in the district headquarters of Rukum, Western Development Region, with support from the High Level Commission for Information Technology and General Development Assistance Programme.
A rural telecentre has already been established in Thakurdwara of Bardiya district. This telecentre has been established with support from Kisan Jagaran Sangh of the same district.
Preparatory work is underway to establish a rural telecentre in Thakurdwara of Bardiya district. This telecentre will be established with support from Kisan Jagaran Sangh of the same district.
CIT-Nepal has also planned to establish a rural telecentre in Arghakhanchi (Place Selected), Syanja, Okhaldhunda and Khotang district with support from local users' groups.
